Friday Family Date
Oct 4th, 2008 by admin
I’m recovering from a bug of some kind. I made it through work today OK but once I got home, I developed a headache and an ear ache. I took some medicine and headed off for our family date. There was no way I was going to stop the fun.
Family Date Night, is the newest Baker family tradition. It’s much more expensive so it’s more of a once a month thing. Dance Party Night is cheap so it happens more often. Our first date night, we went to Adventure Landing followed by the Emerging Artists free concert series at North Hills Mall . Last night we went to Rainbow Lanes in Clayton. That place is pretty cool. Not only was there bowling, but the arcade room had an indoor playground like you’d see at McDonald and a Himalaya ride, like you’d see at a carnival. They played 1 game of bowling, which was really all they could stand. Imagine the surprise on their faces as they realized that bowling is a lot harder with a 6 pound ball than with the wii-remote-control. After bowling we let them ride the Himalaya ride. My family was the only one riding. It goes forwards and then backwards for a buck fifty. (Adults ride free with small children ) Anyway we had a great time and topped off the night with a cone from Baskin Robbins.
I’ve managed to grow some (technically). I’ve acquired a Twitter account and managed to use WordPress widgets to add my “tweets” to my sidebar. Cyberstalk me! I’ll be trying out Twitter throughout the day for the month of October to see if I can get hooked. Join me.
Kid pictures of Family date night coming soon!
